With your help, the Lindsborg Arts Council awards two yearly scholarships to graduating seniors interested in pursuing the arts at a post-secondary level. We also support the arts in the local schools by providing generous yearly gifts to both Soderstrom Elementary’s art program and to Smoky Valley High School’s drama department. This commitment to promoting the future of the arts is foundational to the council’s mission, and it couldn’t happen with the support of our members.

We are also the primary granting agency for local art projects in the community. In the past two years alone we have awarded funds for the following projects:

  • Ivory Thimble south wall mural
  • “Little Guys” art sculptures social-emotional program for 4th grade students, Soderstrom
  • Jenny Lind US-Sweden soprano vocalist tour
  • Hyllningsfest 2023 “LBK” painted dala horses
  • Children’s “First Saturday Makers” art class scholarships at Smoky Valley Arts and Folklife Center
  • Smoky Valley High School students’ KMEA per diem
  • Lindsborg Landmark concert series
  • Bethany College – Cabaret for Messiah Festival
  • Hannover Trio – guest recital at Bethany College

By joining the Lindsborg Arts Council, you are supporting not only these programs, but also helping to GROW THE ARTS in our community for future generations!
