Dr. Fox was a Lindsborg Arts Council Board Member who cared deeply about creating community, the pursuit of artistic endeavors, scholarly undertakings, and living his faith. It is in his memory and remembering his insight, guidance, and enthusiasm for encouraging others that the Lindsborg Arts Council named this scholarship after our friend, Charles. May he be remembered as a champion of the Arts in the Smoky Valley community and beyond.
Application Information
*Only currently enrolled college/university Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who resided within the Smoky Valley School District boundaries at the time of their high school graduation are eligible to apply. This includes homeschooled, virtual students, and students attending private schools living within the USD 400 district boundaries. The Lindsborg Arts Council reserves the right to request additional information to determine if an applicant meets this qualification.
*Applicants must be Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing and have completed a minimum of two collegiate semesters post high school graduation.
*Applicants are required to be majoring in an arts discipline which may include majors such as: studio art, graphic design, theatre, photography, film, art education, animation, dance, music, music education, music performance, and interior design. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list and applicants may reach out to the Lindsborg Arts Council to clarify if their major would qualify.

*One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded. The Lindsborg Arts Council reserves the right to award scholarships at the discretion of the scholarship committee. Note: It is the responsibility of the scholarship recipient to report this scholarship to their school’s financial aid department.
*Applications are due December 15, 2026, and the scholarship will be awarded in early January of 2027.
